Job Description
Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into the rewarding world of special education with a full-time contract opportunity supporting young learners in grades K-2. This role starts in July for Extended School Year (ESY) services and continues throughout the year, providing stability and the chance to make a lasting impact in an inclusive educational environment. Ideal candidates will be passionate about fostering growth in students with diverse needs, equipped with the dedication and expertise to help each child succeed. This setting offers collaboration with skilled educational professionals and the ability to implement individualized programs that meet both academic and developmental goals.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification for K-2. Demonstrated experience working with elementary special education students, preferably in grades K-2. Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance. Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families. Commitment to engaging instructional strategies that motivate and support every learner.Role Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students. Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment tailored to each student's unique strengths and needs. Work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student success. Assess and document student progress, adapting instruction as needed. Participate in school meetings, professional development, and ongoing program planning.Benefits and Perks:
