Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference as a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year in an engaging school setting near Crystal Lake, IL. This full-time contract role allows you to play a vital part in supporting students with diverse needs, working collaboratively with passionate educational professionals.

Responsibilities:

Craft, implement, and evaluate Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), adhering to IDEA and Illinois school regulations. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and families to foster student growth. Utilize advanced communication skills—both written and verbal—to build positive relationships and maintain thorough documentation. Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field. Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois. Learning Behavior Specialist endorsement (LBS1) is required. Previous teaching experience in special education settings is a strong asset. Solid understanding of contemporary instructional methods and classroom management.
