Responsibilities:
Craft, implement, and evaluate Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), adhering to IDEA and Illinois school regulations. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and families to foster student growth. Utilize advanced communication skills—both written and verbal—to build positive relationships and maintain thorough documentation. Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field. Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois. Learning Behavior Specialist endorsement (LBS1) is required. Previous teaching experience in special education settings is a strong asset. Solid understanding of contemporary instructional methods and classroom management.
