Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by supporting their academic growth and success as a contract Special Education Resource Teacher for grades K-5. This vital position focuses on delivering targeted interventions and specialized instruction for students who primarily participate in the general education classroom, but who benefit from additional support to reach their learning goals.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education Teaching Certification Experience developing and implementing IEPs for elementary students Familiarity with push-in and pull-out service models Strong skills in differentiated instruction, interventions, and accommodations Ability to collaborate effectively with general educators, specialists, and families Proficient in supporting executive functioning and academic skill development
Core Responsibilities:
Provide targeted academic instruction individually and in small groups Deliver IEP-driven support and interventions within general education and resource settings Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure grade-level curriculum access Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation for IEP compliance Facilitate communication with families and participate in IEP meetings Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment tailored to student strengths and needs In this contract role, you will play a central role in helping each child access the resources and instruction they need to thrive in an inclusive school community.
