Classroom teacher for Regional Safe School Program. Develop individualized learning program for up to 25 students in grades 6-12 using a variety of curriculum resources including technology-based, textbooks, and project-based learning.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
State of Illinois License endorsed for secondary teaching (or ability to obtain) Ability to use technology effectively Knowledge and experience with behavior modification techniques, social emotional learning, and temperament and training to motivate at-risk youth Ability to work cohesively in a co-teaching classroom environmentREPORTS TO

$43,543.00 includes fully paid TRS, plus medical/dental, vision, and life benefits available.DUTIES:
Essential Skills:
Ability to assess individual needs, establish realistic and appropriate goals and objectives, and design and implement a program for each student Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing sufficient to express ideas, thoughts, lesson material and instructions clearly to students, community and staff Ability to plan and conduct a system of continuous evaluation of each student progress Ability to maintain suitable learning environment including appropriate planning and organization of classroom Ability to keep accurate class records and submit reports in a timely manner Ability to direct and evaluate paraprofessionals and volunteers Ability to manage and prioritize multiple activitiesJob Type:
