Job Description

Fields Auto Group is looking for a unique, energetic, and dedicated individual to care for our beloved dealership mascots: six incredible birds (African Greys and a Macaw) . This full-time role splits time between our MINI location in Glencoe and our new Land Rover Service Center in Lake Bluff. If you love animals, excel at customer service, and want a completely unique workplace, this is your perfect role.
The Role:
What You'll Do You will be the primary caregiver for our resident birds, ensuring they stay healthy, happy, and integrated into our dealership culture.
Avian Care:
Manage daily feeding, fresh water, and specialized dietary needs for 6 birds.
Habitat Maintenance:
Clean, sanitize, and maintain cages and surrounding showroom areas daily.
Customer Engagement:
Act as an ambassador by greeting customers and safely introducing them to the birds.
Dual-Location Management:
Travel between Glencoe and Lake Bluff during work hours to ensure both locations are covered.
The Schedule & Logistics Core Hours:
Monday through Friday, full-time hours.
Weekend Flexibility:
Must be available to assist on occasional weekends when the owner is traveling.
Transportation:
A company vehicle is provided during business hours for commuting between the two dealerships.
What We Are Looking For Bird Experience or Passion:
Prior experience with large birds is highly preferred, but a strong willingness to learn is accepted.
People Skills:
A warm, outgoing personality to interact with luxury car buyers and dealership staff.
Clean Driving Record:
A valid driver's license and an excellent driving history to operate the company vehicle.
Reliability:
Dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently across two sites. Perks & Benefits Competitive full-time pay $25-$40 per hour DOE Access to a company vehicle during working hours.
