Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A special education teaching opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year, focused on supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in grades Kindergarten through 3rd grade. This contract position offers 35 hours per week within a school environment located in Joliet, IL.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state guidelines. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements.Qualifications:
Hold a Professional Educator's License (PEL) for Illinois schools issued through ISBE. Experience working with students on the Autism Spectrum is preferred.
