In this role, you'll collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs. Your expertise will support students in achieving their academic and developmental goals in an inclusive and encouraging environment.
Qualifications:
Valid state certification in Special Education. Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field. Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting strongly preferred. Familiarity with developing and executing IEPs. Strong communication and organizational skills. Collaborative approach to working with educators, families, and support personnel. Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, review, and implement IEPs for students with special needs. Provide specialized instruction aligned with student goals and classroom curriculum. Track and report on student progress toward IEP objectives. Work closely with general education teachers to ensure accommodations and modifications are in place. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and challenges. Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions.
