5th Grade Special Education Teacher in Mahomet, IL

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Special Education Teacher with case management experience is needed for a full-time position working with a 5th-grade caseload. This contract role is based in Mahomet, IL, within a school setting, offering 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities include:

Providing specialized educational instruction tailored to the needs of 5th-grade students Managing individualized education programs (IEPs) and coordinating case management duties Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to support students' academic and social development Monitoring student progress and adapting instructional strategies accordingly Maintaining accurate records and communications with parents and school personnel
