Job Description

This school-based, contract position is situated in a supportive academic environment near Mahomet, IL. You'll be instrumental in helping students achieve their goals while working collaboratively with a dedicated staff focused on student growth and inclusion.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field Valid Special Education teaching certification (Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement or equivalent) Experience working with students with a range of disabilities, IEP development, and differentiated instruction strategies Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Ability to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere
Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines Provide direct instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs in small group and individual settings Adapt general education curriculum and modify lessons as necessary to ensure access and success for all learners Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to track student progress and develop strategies that promote student success Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, respectful environment Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
