Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic educational environment! Multiple full-time opportunities are open for the 2026-2027 school year, with contracts running from August to May. These roles offer a chance to collaborate, grow your skills, and provide essential support to learners with diverse needs. Highlights of available positions include a 6th-grade co-teaching opportunity with a projected caseload of 11 students, serving those with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) and Other Health Impairments (OHI). Additionally, two direct instruction roles supporting K-3rd grades are available, with caseloads of around 10 students each. These classrooms serve a range of exceptionalities, including Other Health Impairments (OHI), Autism (AUT), Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Intellectual Disabilities (ID), and Developmental Delays (DD).
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility) Experience or strong interest in co-teaching and/or direct instruction models Knowledge of IEP processes and progress monitoring Ability to support and differentiate for a variety of learning needs and exceptionalities Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills Positive attitude and passion for fostering student success
