Setting:
Elementary and Middle School Openings Self-Contained Classrooms Full Time, 1.0 FTE Starting August 2026 for entire school year Ampersand Therapy is hiring Special Education Teachers to support students in Maywood, Illinois. In this role, you'll provide individualized instruction, develop IEPs, and create inclusive learning environments that help students succeed. You'll work with a collaborative district and a supportive, therapist-run team.   • + 401(k) with company match Reimbursement for licensure and professional development + referral bonuses What You'll Do Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs Provide specialized instruction across academic subjects Manage classroom behavior and create a structured, supportive environment Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for diverse learning needs Incorporate technology and resources to enhance learning What We're Looking For Valid Illinois State teaching license (PEL) with Learning Behavior Specialist 1 endorsement Strong classroom management and collaboration skills School-based experience preferred, not required About Ampersand Therapy Ampersand Therapy is a women and therapist-operated company built by providers who understand school-based work.
