Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A fulfilling opportunity awaits a dedicated Special Education Teacher eager to make a daily difference for students near the McHenry, IL area. This full-time contract role is set for the 26/27 school year, offering a chance to shape young lives while collaborating with a passionate school community. You will be responsible for developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) that align fully with IDEA standards and Illinois regulations. Communication and collaboration are key; you'll work closely with colleagues, families, and administrators to build supportive educational experiences for students. Your expertise will help guide instruction, foster growth, and support every child's academic and socio-emotional success.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement Previous teaching experience in a school setting preferred Strong grasp of current instructional strategies and educational methodologies Thorough understanding of child development theories and practices Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities
