Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding part-time position supporting young learners as a PreK Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact in a resource setting, guiding a small group of 8-10 PreK students near Oakland, IL. With services offered through both push-in and pull-out models, you'll play a vital role in fostering growth and development for students at a critical stage in their education.

What You'll Do:

Provide specialized, individualized instruction for a small PreK caseload. Employ resource setting strategies, utilizing both push-in and pull-out service delivery. Create, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student's unique needs. Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success. Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is compliant with state and district policies.

Preferred Background and Skills:

Active Illinois LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist 1) License. PreK endorsement is required. Previous experience in early childhood special education is a plus.
