Send job Job Details Job DescriptionJob Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a difference in students' lives as a Special Education Teacher working with a diverse K-8 caseload for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract position starts as soon as possible and continues through May 2026. You'll support a resource classroom setting at a school near Rochester, MI, working with students whose behavioral needs may vary. Both in-person and virtual interviews are available to suit your preferences.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education Teaching Certification required Previous experience teaching in resource and/or K-8 environments preferred Strong ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet varied behavioral and academic needs Excellent communication and organizational skills Comfort with IEP development and implementation Collaborative spirit for working with multidisciplinary teams, students, and familiesKey Responsibilities:
Deliver effective, differentiated instruction in a resource classroom setting for K-8 students Manage and support students with varying behavioral and academic needs Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Partner with general education staff, support personnel, and families to foster student growth Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelinesPerks and Benefits:
