Comprehensive Benefits Package Available Join a Team That Makes a Difference We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support students in an Elementary Autism Classroom in Rockford, IL. This rewarding opportunity is ideal for educators who are passionate about helping students with diverse learning needs achieve academic, behavioral, and social success. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the Special Education Teacher will provide high-quality instructional services to students while collaborating with families, support staff, and general education teachers to ensure positive outcomes for every learner. Key Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction to students in an elementary autism classroom setting Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Adapt instructional strategies and curriculum to meet individual student needs Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and families to support student achievement Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring records Promote a safe, structured, and positive learning environment Participate in team meetings, educational planning, and consultation with school personnel Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, district, or contract regulations Minimum of one year of teaching experience preferred Standard Elementary Teaching Certification preferred Standard Secondary Teaching Certification preferred Standard Special Teaching Certification preferred Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement preferred Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice Current CPR certification, if applicable TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray, if applicable Current health certificate as required by contract or state regulations Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay of up to $55 per hour Weekly pay Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits Opportunities for professional growth and development Supportive and collaborative educational environment If you are passionate about supporting students with autism and making a lasting impact in their educational journey, we encourage you to apply today.
