Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic school setting near Round Lake, IL. This full-time contract position will cover the upcoming 26/27 school year, providing an excellent opportunity to collaborate with educators, students, and families who value inclusive learning. You will play a critical role in creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), ensuring compliance with IDEA and Illinois educational regulations. Your expertise and creativity will help meet the diverse needs of students, encouraging their success and development.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) LBS1 endorsement required Previous teaching experience preferred Familiarity with current educational strategies, instructional methodologies, and best practices for supporting diverse learners Deep understanding of child development theories and application to instructional planning Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, families, and administrators
