Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Resource Room Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, on-site role is designed for dedicated SPED educators who are passionate about fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment and making a meaningful difference in students' lives. You'll play a key role in providing tailored educational support and advocating for the unique needs of each learner.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid and active Professional Educator License (PEL) required; please have a copy available when applying Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally in a resource room or inclusive classroom setting Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation, including progress monitoring and documentation Excellent classroom management and communication abilities Collaborative mindset to effectively partner with general education staff, families, and support specialists Commitment to providing in-person instruction and hands-on student support
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction within the resource room to students with diverse learning needs Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams and families Adapt general education curriculum to meet the unique strengths and needs of each student Employ evidence-based strategies to promote academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth Maintain detailed, compliant records and track student progress and goals Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that celebrates student diversity If you hold an active PEL, have the drive to inspire positive change, and are ready to make a direct impact for students in an in-person setting, your expertise is valued here.
