Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education (or related field) Valid Special Education teaching certification for Illinois Experience working with K-12 students with a range of disabilities Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Excellent collaboration and communication abilities Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, modify, and deliver instructional plans tailored to individual student needs Implement IEP goals and monitor student progress regularly Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure inclusive and supportive learning environments Use a variety of instructional strategies and assistive technologies Maintain accurate records of student development and provide timely progress reports Foster a positive, encouraging classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement, independence, and social-emotional growth
