Lower School After Care Teacher

Lower School After Care Teacher North Shore Country Day School Winnetka, Illinois North Shore Country Day School, a JK-12 independent school near Chicago, seeks candidates for teacher positions in our Lower School Later Raiders Program (after school care) for the 2022-2023 Academic Year. Preferred candidate to work Monday - Friday from 2:45 p.m. to 6:00pm., though the program is flexible in regards to scheduling.

Essential Qualifications:

Monitor and provide caring and thoughtful support to students during free and structured play, both indoors and out. Monitor daily student attendance. Set up and clean classroom on a daily basis. Plan, prepare and implement activities for children. Perform duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Associates degree or equivalent work experience required. (Bachelor's degree or current pursuit of such degree preferred.) Possess a minimum of 1-2 years prior experience working with elementary age children (4-11 years old). Ability to communicate and interact well with preschool and elementary age students, as well as faculty, staff, administrators, and parents. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Punctuality, dependability and patience. Successful completion of a background test.

Compensation:

$60 a day; this position is not eligible for benefits.
