HS Teacher Supervisor:
Education Supervisor (Hourly Employee, 43-44W/40H) This job description is a record of the essential functions of the listed job. The job description provides the employee, administration, human resources, applicants, and other agencies with a clear understanding of the job. Jobs are always changing to some degree and the existence of the approved job descriptions is not intended to limit normal change and growth.
I. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
: A. Possesses knowledge and understanding of early childhood development B. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that utilizes the five developmental domains. C. Use positive guidance for challenging behavior and classroom management D. Every preschool child will be engaged in and challenged by a variety of learning experiences. E. Implements transitions in classroom. F. Support children utilizing the Pyramid Model G. English Language Learners make significant progress in their primary language as well as English. i. Works together with other classroom/center staff to support English language acquisition for preschool children. ii. Works together with other classroom/center staff to support primary language acquisition. H. Each child's interest drives implementation of the curriculum, writing of lesson plans that supports and scaffold child ideas. I. A safe and healthy environment will support the development and learning of preschool children. i. Assure that room arrangement meets the developmental needs of all children. ii. Maintain a safe and sanitary indoor and outdoor environment. iii. Conduct daily health check of children and address medical needs of children. iv. Children and adults practice healthy habits and routines. v. Releases child to appropriate adults. vi. Participate in all emergency drills. J. Assess present level of development towards child learning outcomes /standards. K. Complete all documentation and recordkeeping in a timely manner. All child assessments are accurately completed in the child tracking program and maintained as required by all applicable regulations. L. Parents, staff, and partners are knowledgeable regarding initial screening and ongoing assessment of child's progress M. Collaborations are established with Parents. Staff and community representatives to maximize all resources. N. Staff relationships promote a climate conducive to learning. O. Other Responsibilities i. Request materials and resources needed for the classroom to Education Supervisor in a timely manner ii. Attend evening meetings as deemed necessary by Education Manager. iii. Duties as outlined in Virtual Work Plan iv. Other duties as assigned and explained by Education Manager

Professional knowledge, skills and attitudes are enhanced by the utilization of opportunities and resources available, d. Confidentiality will be maintained in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and agency policy. e. Responsibilities are carried out to a successful completion f. Desired results are achieved with children, parents, staff and community by effectively using all forms of communication
III. QUALIFICATIONS
(SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES): a. Must be physically and emotionally able to work with young children. b. Associate Degree in ECE required; Bachelor's Degree in ECE preferred. c. Ability to communicate with children, parents, and professionals. d. Ability to engage in multi-level thinking. e. Ability to safely and physically transport a preschool child; vision and hearing adequate to supervise children in the classroom area and on the playground; ability to be at child's eye level. Must be CPR certified. f. Computer skills sufficient to use online program & enter data, and to guide children in basic computer use.
