Aug 3, 2026 Job Description Purpose of Position Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develops and implements plans for the curriculum program assigned and show written evidence of preparation as required. Prepares lessons that reflect accommodations for individual student differences. Presents the subject matter according to guidelines established by Indiana Department of Education, board policies, and administrative regulations. Plans and uses appropriate instructional/learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect accommodations for individual needs of students assigned. Cooperates with other members of the staff in planning and implementinginstructional goals, objectives, and methods according to state requirements. Plans and supervises purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and/or volunteer(s). Uses technologies in the teaching/learning process. Consistently assesses student achievement through formal and informal testing. Presents a positive role model for students that supports the mission of the school. Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the physical, social, and emotional development of students. Manages student behavior in the classroom and administer discipline according to board policies, administrative regulations. Establishes and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents. Maintains a professional relationship with all colleagues, students, parents, and community members. Qualifications Bachelor's degree of related subject from accredited university. Indiana teaching certificate. Experience is preferred but not necessary for hiring.
