Key Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Experience working with individualized education programs (IEPs) Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention skills Knowledge of current best practices in special education Effective communication skills to work with students, parents, and staff Team-oriented mindset and adaptability to various educational environments Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to students' unique abilities and learning styles Write, review, and maintain IEPs in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers Track and report student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed Provide direct instruction, modification, and behavioral support as outlined in each student's IEP Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences to support student growth and family engagement Foster a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom atmosphere This contract position offers the chance to advance your teaching practice while positively influencing students' academic, social, and behavioral development.
