Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This full-time, contract opportunity focuses on serving students with functional life skills, autism, and cognitive impairments. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred) Prior experience with elementary students, especially those with autism, cognitive impairments, or functional life skills needs Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with school teams and families Adaptability to modify curriculum and integrate individualized education programs (IEPs) A caring, patient, and resourceful attitude toward supporting all learners
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to each student's unique strengths and needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams Create a positive, structured classroom climate that encourages student participation and growth Employ innovative teaching strategies and evidence-based interventions Communicate progress and strategies with parents, caregivers, and colleagues Support students' social-emotional learning and the development of life skills necessary for independence Maintain compliance with all documentation and reporting requirements Enjoy a rewarding full-year assignment that allows you to see your impact throughout the school year.
