This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with a small caseload of 8 students, ensuring focused attention and personalized instruction. With three openings available, your knowledge, compassion, and skills can help shape a brighter educational path for students who need it most.
Key Qualifications:
Active Kansas Low Incidence Special Education License (required) Experience teaching in an elementary school setting strongly preferred Ability to provide differentiated instruction and adapt lessons for a range of abilities Strong communication and collaboration skills to work alongside other educators, support staff, and families Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
Role Responsibilities:
Instruct and support elementary students within the LIFT Program, delivering tailored lessons that meet diverse learning needs Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to maximize student growth Collaborate with fellow teachers, related service providers, and administrative staff to ensure student success Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress, communicating regularly with families and caregivers Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere that nurtures confidence and independence in each child
