Job Description

Location:
Elizabethtown, KY Pay:
$26.50 per hour
Hours Available:
25-35 hours per week
Schedule Weekdays:
Flexible hours available (please let us know your availability)
Weekends:
Saturday and/or Sunday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Overnight respite shifts available upon request ($21.15 per hour) About the Position We are seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic caregiver to provide in-home and community-based support for a young man with Angelman Syndrome. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, is creative and patient, and values building meaningful relationships. As a Personal Assistant, you will help support independence, daily routines, and community involvement while ensuring a safe and positive environment.
Responsibilities Duties may include:
Assisting with personal care, including dressing, bathing, grooming, and oral hygiene Meal preparation and assistance with eating Toileting support Medication reminders and assistance with medication administration Providing supervision, guidance, and encouragement during daily activities Supporting participation in community activities, appointments, and recreational outings Transportation to appointments and community events Promoting independence, skill development, and overall well-being Qualifications The ideal candidate is: Compassionate, patient, and reliable Energetic and comfortable participating in community activities Flexible and able to adapt to changing needs Comfortable providing personal care assistance At least 18 years old Possesses a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance Requirements Employees must complete Medicaid-required compliance requirements, including: Annual TB screening Passing a pre-hire background check Online training modules Submission of a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
Pay:
