Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management. Deliver high-quality instruction to children across various developmental stages, including toddlers and preschoolers, utilizing techniques such as Montessori methods when appropriate. Conduct ongoing assessments of children's progress through standardized testing and informal observations to tailor instruction and support early intervention strategies. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address individual needs related to special education or child welfare, and foster strong home-school connections. Manage classroom routines efficiently, ensuring compliance with childcare regulations and maintaining a clean, organized learning space. Participate in professional development opportunities focused on curriculum development, classroom management, childhood development, and best practices in early intervention. Skills Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles, including childhood development theories and classroom management techniques. Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool settings, or private schools with a focus on toddler care and preschool experience. Strong curriculum development skills covering literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and Montessori methodologies. Ability to implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners effectively. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools used in early childhood education environments. Experience in working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
