Utilize educational technology tools and learning platforms to enhance engagement and facilitate differentiated instruction. Conduct assessments, including standardized testing and formative evaluations, to monitor student progress and inform instructional strategies. Collaborate closely with colleagues, specialists (such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, behavioral therapists), and parents to support student development holistically. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques tailored for students with special needs. Engage in ongoing professional development related to special education practices, behavioral health, early intervention strategies, and inclusive teaching methodologies. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; advanced certifications in special education or related disciplines preferred. Proven experience working with children or students with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, or visual impairments. Knowledge of IEP development, special education law, instructional modifications, and educational compliance standards. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families, colleagues, and support staff. Ability to implement evidence-based behavioral therapies such as applied behavior analysis (ABA) or behavioral health interventions. Familiarity with educational technology tools and digital learning platforms used in classroom settings.
