Category Schools - Adaptive Physical Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by utilizing your expertise as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher in a supportive school setting. This contract opportunity offers the chance to creatively adapt lessons and encourage students to reach their highest potential through personalized physical education programs.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Adaptive Physical Education or closely related field Valid teaching credential for Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Previous experience working with students who have a range of physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges Ability to develop and modify individualized education plans for students Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for promoting student success
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students' individual needs and design tailored adaptive PE programs Deliver engaging physical education activities that foster both skills development and confidence Collaborate with IEP teams, special education staff, and other professionals Track student progress and adapt goals and activities as needed Promote inclusion and a positive environment where every student feels valued Maintain documentation in accordance with school and district policies This contract assignment provides a rewarding opportunity to use your knowledge and compassionate approach to help students with diverse abilities thrive.
