Job Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs teaching duties and plans daily activities for children to include all areas of curriculum Assures that children are always supervised Prepares lesson plans for director Assure them that the children's equipment and supplies are arranged properly and orderly and are kept in good condition. Communicates with Director and Assistant Director concerning all aspects of their classroom Keeps good development records of children in the classroom Must be able to communicate with parents concerning the development of their child and any other concern

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

2 years' experience in a licensed daycare Current CPR and First Aid Must have strong planning skills Must have good oral and written communication skills Must be able to work effectively and appropriately with children Must maintain confidentiality of records

Education and Experience:

Demonstrated skills in planning, prioritizing and time management Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and timely completion of tasks High School diploma or GED Must meet all requirements of the Department of Human Resources in areas of training Must have at least 12 clock hours of training in childcare and development through participation in workshops, meetings, videotapes, or one on one consultation.
