Center Elementary School General Description:

• Design, supervise and implement students' IEP plans
• Develop curriculum modifications and adaptations.
• Participate in IEP Team meetings.
• Write effective IEPs for students
• Collect and analyze student data and monitor student progress
• Effectively work with a team of professionals to coordinate services
• Consult with general education teacher and related service providers.
• Assist classroom teachers with instructional strategies to facilitate inclusion.
• Write quarterly progress reports for IEP goals that are data based on student performance.
• Administer various diagnostic achievement assessments (WIAT-III, Key Math, GORT 5, etc) that identifies student capabilities as part of initial and reevaluation for students.
• Write effective evaluation reports summarizing findings and making recommendations for assigned students. Successful candidates will hold a Master's degree in special education from an accredited college or university
• MA DESE Teaching License
• PreK-8 Moderate Special Needs license is required
• Experience in modifying and adapting curriculum to assure students can access the curriculum.
• Ability to effectively consult and work collaboratively with various service providers and support staff.
• Solid organizational skills.
• Experience with IEP development is required.
