Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract An incredible opportunity awaits for passionate Special Education Teachers to make a meaningful difference during the 2026-2027 school year! This contract role, starting August 27th, centers on supporting students' growth and success within an educational environment that genuinely values inclusivity and individualized learning. Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Current certification as a Special Education Teacher Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field Demonstrated experience working with students who have a range of disabilities Exceptional communication, organization, and collaboration skills Knowledgeable in developing and implementing IEPs and adjusting instruction to meet individual needs Ability to work effectively with families, multidisciplinary teams, and administration
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and implement effective, differentiated instruction tailored to each student's unique needs Develop and maintain IEPs, tracking progress and reporting on student goals Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom climate, adapting resources as needed Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and school staff about student progress Participate in meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning sessions You'll have the support to try innovative strategies, and to grow alongside your students.
