DESCRIPTION
World Languages Teachers are responsible for utilizing research-based pedagogical strategies to teach and engage diverse groups of students in grades 9-12. They must work collaboratively with Special Education and English as a Second Language teachers, as well as support staff, throughout the year to continually improve our students' experience and performance. Teachers should be well-versed in providing accommodations for students whose IEPs dictate services. Teachers must also exercise culturally responsive practices to promote equity and respect for all students.REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
? Bachelor's Degree in Education and/or Liberal Arts ? Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Certification World Language 5-12 PREFERREDEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
? Master's Degree in Education and/ Liberal Arts. ? 3 or more years of high school teaching experience. ? SEI Endorsement ? Dual Licensure in Special Education and/or English as a Second Language. ? Experience working in an urban public school setting. ? Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in another language in addition to English.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
? Plan and facilitate lessons aligned with the Massachusetts World Language Curriculum Frameworks and district-provided HQIM curricula. ? Use all available district-provided technology curricula to create engaging Math lessons that are aligned with 21st- century skills. ? Manage classroom behavior using Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies that motivate students, minimize disruptions, and foster a sense of belonging. ? Incorporate social-emotional learning standards that promote a sense of belonging, inclusion, self-confidence, team
- building, and informed decision-making.
Salary:
Salary for this position will be based on the Everett Teachers Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.SY 26-27
Pay Range- $65,178
- 125,654.
