Elementary Special Education Teacher in Fitchburg, MA

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. This full-time, contract position is available ASAP and continues through the remainder of the school year. The role involves managing a self-contained classroom focused on Emotional Disabilities, providing specialized instruction and support tailored to students' unique learning and behavioral needs.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with emotional disabilities Create a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes social and academic growth Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers to support student progress Monitor and document student performance and adjust instructional strategies accordingly Maintain compliance with special education laws and school policies

Qualifications:

Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with elementary students, preferably in grades 1-2 Familiarity with emotional disabilities and classroom management techniques Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to create inclusive and supportive learning environments
