Sizer School, a North Central Charter Essential School, is seeking an innovative, student-centered Engineering & Technology Teacher to join our community. Essential job functions (include but not limited to)
Teach courses in technology and engineering and integrate engineering design processes, emerging technologies, and real-world applications into coursework.
Units could include:
Introduction to Coding
Advanced Coding
Engineering design
CAD design
Prototyping
Robotics
Develop and implement project-based, inquiry-driven instruction.
Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners.
Regular in-person attendance
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Technology Education, Engineering, Industrial Technology, STEM Education, or related field.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Experience with project-based learning and hands-on instruction.
Dedication to the Sizer School mission
Thorough knowledge of curriculum design, MA Common Core, and assessment tools
Highly qualified to teach in the assignment area; MA DESE License with SEI Endorsement preferred. Mandatory within the first year of employment.
Successful experience teaching in a diverse school environment.
Innovative team player with proven history of service.
Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families.
Ability to pass CORI and National Criminal Background Check.
Preferred
Master's degree in Education, Engineering, Technology, or related field.
Industry experience in engineering, manufacturing, robotics, computer science, or related technical fields.
Experience with CAD software, robotics platforms, fabrication tools, or coding instruction.
Familiarity with FIRST Robotics, Project Lead the Way (PLTW), or similar STEM programs.
