Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Haverhill, MA Soliant - 3.9 Haverhill, MA Job Details Part-time | Contract 2 days ago Qualifications Teaching Certification Teaching students with hearing impairments Working with students with special education needs Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Embark on a meaningful part-time contract opportunity as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, working with students from PreK through age 22 for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. Situated near Haverhill, MA, this position allows you to share your expertise and make a real difference in the lives of students and their families within a supportive educational environment. This contract role is designed for passionate educators seeking flexibility and the unique rewards that come with supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. You'll enjoy a consistent W-2 hourly schedule with a workload of 16-18 hours each week, collaborating closely with a dedicated team of professionals.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Massachusetts licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) Experience working with students across a wide age range, from PreK to young adults up to age 22 Strong communication, organization, and instructional skills Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs Knowledge of current best practices in Deaf education and familiarity with assistive technologies
Primary Responsibilities:
