SPED Teacher ILP:
The Emily G. Wetherbee School is seeking a Special Education Individualized Learning Program teacher responsible for planning and co-teaching with the core content teachers in a grade level. Inclusion, pull-out, and co-teaching models to be determined by students' Individualized Educational Plans. The ideal candidate possesses a belief that all students are capable of learning. Teacher responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Participating and collaborating with colleagues effectively in grade level and content vertical planning meetings
  • Attending IEP, 504, student support, and team meetings
  • Participating in family engagement activities
  • Establishing and maintaining grade level paraprofessional collaboration in the classroom
  • Demonstrating preparation and skill in working with students from various cultural, economic and ability backgrounds
  • Encouraging and monitoring the progress of individual students and using this information to adjust teaching strategies
  • Maintaining accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
