Qualifications & Experience:

DESE license required for Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist/Teacher Strong understanding of strategies and accommodations for K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Experience in educational settings supporting diverse learners Ability to collaborate with fellow educators, families, and specialists Proficiency in sign language is preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct instructional support and consultation to students identified as Deaf/Hard of Hearing Partner with general education teachers to adapt lesson materials and ensure accessibility Monitor student progress and adjust supports as needed, confirming and managing caseload throughout the school year Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and participate in team meetings Serve as an advocate for students, promoting inclusion and effective communication strategies Liaise with families and community resources to foster student success Experience the fulfillment that comes from helping students discover their fullest potential.
