Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year, supporting students in a vibrant academic environment near Leominster, MA. This role begins August 27th and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal development throughout the academic year. Ideal candidates will bring enthusiasm, flexibility, and expertise in specialized instruction. You'll work closely with a diverse team of professionals, and be instrumental in helping students access their education and achieve their potential.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current certification or licensure as a Special Education Teacher Experience working with children or adolescents with special needs, preferably in a school setting Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families Adaptability to engage students of varying abilities and backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver personalized instruction in accordance with students' IEPs Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet individual learning needs Assess student progress and adjust plans as needed Maintain detailed records and contribute to annual IEP meetings Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment Work cooperatively with general education teachers and paraprofessionals Participate in professional development activities related to special education This contract role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience, build relationships, and make a difference in students' lives over the course of a school year.
