To Be Determined Job Description The Bresnahan School is a grade PK-3 elementary school located in Newburyport, Massachusetts. We are looking for an energetic and experienced special educator to join our teaching team. Collaborative problem-solver who is able to form positive relationships with students, staff and parents. Experience implementing IEPs, 504 Plans, and building-based accommodations preferred. Experience with assessment, data analysis, progress monitoring and using data to inform instruction preferred. Experience with PBIS or Trauma Sensitive practices is a plus. Positive, reflective, engaged educator willing to work collaboratively with peers to create a warm and welcoming school culture.
Knowledge Required:
Currency in the curriculum, including knowledge of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. Effective planning and assessment of curriculum and instruction for students with language-based learning disabilities. Effective classroom management Effective instruction in a standards-based classroom. Promotion of high standards and expectations for student proficiency. Promotion of equity and appreciation of diversity. Effective integration of technology across the curriculum.
