Anthony Middle School is seeking highly qualified Special Educator or Reading/Literacy Teacher to provide students with additional, explicit instruction in reading comprehension, fluency, and literacy development beyond their core English Language Arts (ELA) instruction. This course is an important component of the school's tiered approach to literacy support. The goal is to strengthen students' reading skills, build confidence and independence as readers, and provide responsive instruction based on students' individual literacy needs. The class may include students with a range of reading strengths and needs. Some students may benefit from additional explicit instruction and targeted support in comprehension and fluency, while stronger readers may engage in more independent and advanced literacy experiences, including book clubs, novel studies, and other opportunities to deepen comprehension and engagement with text.
