Aug 31, 2026 Job Description Elementary Therapeutic Learning Program Clinician Description Elementary Clinician for Elementary STRIDE (LICSW) Program Job description The elementary level clinician's role will be defined as and responsible for focusing on the following: Observe elementary students who present significant social emotional challenges. Recommend interventions to staff that address social emotional challenges. Consult to teachers, school adjustment counselors, BCBAs, and special education coordinators. Conduct behavior assessments/formal observations and develop behavior plans when needed. Provide training in the implementation of behavioral plans, interventions, Provide staff training during professional development days. Works closely with the prek-4 special education coordinators and out of district coordinator. Provides training to and engages families to remove barriers to learning. Participate in planning and building an elementary Therapeutic Learning Program (for 2025-2026) with an outside consultant.
The ideal candidate should have:
Experience working in therapeutic schools or classrooms at the elementary level. Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, administrators, outside agencies, and other providers to support students and families. Knowledge of behavior interventions and strategies and capable of sharing this knowledge with stakeholders. Knowledge of special education and the new IEP process. Ability to read and analyze key information and write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Strong communication skills.
Required:
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker or equivalent mental health clinician and MA DESE licensed or licensable. This is a non-union position. Reports to the Director of Special Education and works closely with building administrators and Special Education Coordinators.
