  • Complete student evaluations/screenings/standardized testing in accordance with Collaborative guidelines
  • Provide direct instruction/consultation to students and assist with classroom implementation
  • Provide support to students in inclusionary experiences within a public school setting
  • Complete daily service documentation
  • Gather, compile, and disaggregate data; and link that data to student learning and inform instruction.
  • Differentiate instruction based on assessment data
  • Write professional reports, develop Individual Education Programs (IEP), maintain data collection employing research-based best practice strategies to demonstrate student progress and adjust student goals
  • Document interventions and progress on each student
  • Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned
  • Present subject matter according to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks using Deeper Learning pedagogy
  • Work with other members of staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods
  • Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process
  • Be a positive role model for students and support the mission of the Collaborative
  • Manage student behavior
  • Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
  • Assist in selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials for the visually impaired
  • Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents/guardians, outside agencies and community members
  • Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly
  • Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills
  • Keep informed of and comply with state and Collaborative regulations and policies for educators
  • Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required
  • Request support when necessary
  • Other student-related assigned responsibilities as needed
