Immediately Job Description- Complete student evaluations/screenings/standardized testing in accordance with Collaborative guidelines
- Provide direct instruction/consultation to students and assist with classroom implementation
- Provide support to students in inclusionary experiences within a public school setting
- Complete daily service documentation
- Gather, compile, and disaggregate data; and link that data to student learning and inform instruction.
- Differentiate instruction based on assessment data
- Write professional reports, develop Individual Education Programs (IEP), maintain data collection employing research-based best practice strategies to demonstrate student progress and adjust student goals
- Document interventions and progress on each student
- Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned
- Present subject matter according to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks using Deeper Learning pedagogy
- Work with other members of staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods
- Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process
- Be a positive role model for students and support the mission of the Collaborative
- Manage student behavior
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Assist in selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials for the visually impaired
- Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents/guardians, outside agencies and community members
- Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly
- Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills
- Keep informed of and comply with state and Collaborative regulations and policies for educators
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required
- Request support when necessary
- Other student-related assigned responsibilities as needed
