Immediately Job Description Westfield Public Schools is seeking additional qualified applicants for the following long term sub position:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of authorized administrators shall: Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students. Prepare individualized education plans. Collaborate with school based related service providers. Collaborate with team on curriculum and student needs. Assess educational needs of students by use of standardized tools, running records and other informal assessments. Maintain complete records of re-evaluation periods, required student documentation and parent communication. Integrate technology into instruction. Provide differentiated instruction to students as needed. Implement school, district and department policies. Create and manage effective communication with parents of special education students. Create and follow goals and objectives for IEP's, write quarterly progress reports and follow behavior plans with integrity. Follow the Westfield Public Schools code of conduct for the classroom which is consistent with established administrative policies and develops rules of classroom behavior which are enforced in a fair and just manner. Plans and supervises assignments for classroom paraprofessionals. Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the building principal or the Superintendent of schools and/or their designee.
