Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Sign-On Bonus:
$2,000 (Full-Time) (Bonuses are paid out in two increments.)
Pay:
$19-$20.73/hour. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related factors. What You'll Do As a Developmental Specialist in our Day Habilitation Program, you will support adults with developmental and other disabilities by delivering meaningful, goal-oriented services in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Implement individualized Day Habilitation Support Plan (DHSP) objectives Assist individuals in building independence, daily living skills, and self-advocacy Plan and support meaningful activities that reflect individuals' strengths, interests, and choices Promote community integration, including social, recreational, and skill-development activities Document daily activities and progress using daily notes, communication logs, and monthly reports Support individuals with personal care needs as required (e.g., toileting, feeding, transfers) Ensure the health, safety, dignity, and rights of all individuals Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging program environment Collaborate with coworkers, supervisors, families, and community partners What We're Looking For We're excited to meet candidates who are compassionate, reliable, and ready to grow in this rewarding field.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities OR
  • High school diploma/GED with at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to document clearly and communicate effectively
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, internet)
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation
Additional Requirements:
  • Acceptable CORI, fingerprint-based background checks, and OIG screening
  • Commitment to The Arc's mission, values, and person-centered practices Experience in Day Habilitation, human services, education, healthcare, or direct support is a plus—but we welcome motivated candidates eager to learn.
