Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting middle school students in a collaborative co-teaching environment. This role is crucial for the remainder of the current school year, with the possibility to continue into the 2026/2027 academic year. What We're Seeking:
Active Massachusetts Moderate Disabilities certification (required) Previous experience teaching special education at the middle school level is highly desirable Strong understanding of co-teaching models and inclusive education practices Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families Excellent communication skills, organization, and adaptability A commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Co-teach in varied middle school classrooms, delivering specially designed instruction for students with moderate disabilities Collaborate in lesson planning and instructional delivery with general education partners Adapt curriculum and implement accommodations and modifications.
