Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher, working with an innovative Learning for Life Program in a supportive school setting. This full-time, onsite position is dedicated to fostering positive educational outcomes for a caseload of 15 students. You'll collaborate with a dedicated team, shaping the academic year from August 17th through June 4th.
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
Hold active Special Education Teacher certification (SPED) Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs preferred Strong ability to adapt curriculum and tailor instruction for individualized education plans (IEPs) Confident managing a caseload and cultivating a positive, inclusive classroom Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset Commitment to full-time, onsite work from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
Position Details & Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction to students enrolled in the Learning for Life Program Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) Collaborate closely with support staff, related service providers, and families Foster a safe, engaging, and respectful classroom environment Track student progress, adjust strategies as needed, and document results Attend professional development and staff meetings as required Uphold district and state standards for special education This contract role offers a fulfilling chance to make a real impact, with a single, dedicated position available at a welcoming middle school.
