Pay:
$42 - $50 per hour W-2 Job Summary We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers in Easton, MD, for the upcoming 26/27 school year! Multiple openings available across all grade levels, elementary through high school. Duties Develop, adapt, and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs. Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development, literacy education, math, physical education, and other subject areas suitable for students with disabilities. Manage classroom behavior effectively using behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for each student's educational plan. Engage in lesson planning that incorporates early intervention strategies and childhood development principles. Foster a safe, inclusive environment that promotes child welfare and emotional well-being. Skills Valid state special education teaching certification (appropriate endorsement required). Strong classroom management and behavior management skills to maintain a positive learning environment. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, colleagues, and specialists. Experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or other disabilities; familiarity with working with people with disabilities is essential. Knowledge of curriculum development across various subjects including literacy education, math, physical education, and early childhood education. Ability to design and implement lesson plans tailored to diverse learners' needs, including preschool experience or daycare background is advantageous. Familiarity with IEP processes and experience conducting assessments aligned with standardized testing protocols. #INDEDU1
