Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting their educational journey as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. Two full-time, onsite positions are available, with assignments at Oakdale Middle and another elementary site. You'll have the rewarding opportunity to work with dedicated teams, foster student growth, and experience the daily joys of making a difference.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification for the appropriate age group Experience supporting diverse learners in a structured classroom setting Strong communication and collaboration skills Compassion, patience, and adaptability working with students of varying abilities Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
What You'll Be Doing:
Developing and delivering individualized instruction for students in alignment with IEP goals Maintaining accurate records and progress reports for a caseload of 10-15 students Collaborating with classroom aides, general educators, and support staff Participating in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and school events Utilizing evidence-based strategies to promote student engagement and achievement Supporting social, emotional, and behavioral growth along with academic needs
