Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Supplemental Health Care is hiring Special Education Teachers to support a partnering school district in Gaithersburg, MD . If you're passionate about helping students succeed and want strong support along the way, this is a great opportunity to step into a meaningful role right away.

Pay:
$37 to $40 an hour
Bonus:

Middle School Contract Dates:
August 2026 to June 2027 | 36 Weeks 10- Month Regular School Year, Extended School Year in

Emotional Disabilities, Language Arts, Social Studies What You'll Do:
Provide individualized instruction to students with IEPs Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs Collaborate with teachers, paraeducators, and families Track student progress and adjust strategies as needed Create a positive, structured classroom environment
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education or related field Active Maryland Special Education Certification Experience or certification supporting: Learning, emotional, behavioral, or intellectual disabilities Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred 2 or more years of experience in special education settings or experience working with emotionally disabled students
